Erwin Leads After Day One at NAC Championship

WATERVILLE, Maine – The Castleton University men's golf team sits in fourth place after day one of the North Atlantic Conference Championships at Waterville Country Club.

Jacob Erwin leads the 45-man field after 18 holes, shooting a two-over 72 to lead by one stroke over SUNY Delhi's Daniel Christy, Brandon Palmer and Zach Barrett as they each shot 73.

Nicholas Ojala carded a round of 76 (+6) to round out the top five, while Tripp Norris checked in with an 83. Tom Kingsley finished the opening round with an 87.

Castleton shot 318 as a team, trailing third-place Husson by seven strokes. SUNY Delhi leads the tournament after posting a team total score of 295, and Thomas is in second place at 309.

Play concludes Sunday morning with tee times beginning at 9:30 a.m.
