Castleton Men's Golf in 21st Place at Duke Nelson Invitational

MIDDLEBURY, Vt. – The Castleton men's golf team sits in 21st place after the first day of competition at the 33rd Annual Duke Nelson Invitational hosted by Middlebury on Saturday.

The Spartans shot a team-total of 332, led by Jon Benson's score of 80. Zach Temple and Luke Salerno shot rounds of 82, while Jacob Erwin's 88 rounded out the scoring for the Spartans.

Skidmore is in first place after day one with a team score of 296, while the hosts, Middlebury, are in second place at 297.  Amherst, Rochester and a second Middlebury squad round out the top five.
