CASTLETON, Vt. - Castleton has claimed the top seed and hosting rights for the 2016 North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Baseball Championship Tournament, which begins with opening-round games on Friday, May 6.

The Spartans (29-10 overall) captured the top seed in the conference tournament after posting a league-best 21-3 record in NAC play. Castleton dropped its first two conference games before winning 21 straight. However, the Spartans ended NAC action with a loss to Lyndon, snapping their streak.
