Rising senior Michael LaBeau was recently named the New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL) Pitcher of the Week after earning three saves in four appearances without giving up a run for the league-leading Keene Swamp Bats.
After leading the Spartans to their third consecutive NAC Championship and NCAA Tournament Appearance, seniors Nick Swim and Sam Spencer have been named All-Region by both the America Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) and the New England Intercollegiate Baseball Association (NEIBA).

Castleton’s baseball team closes out the regular season this weekend with a North Atlantic Conference home-and-home series against the Lyndon Hornets. The Spartans will host Lyndon this afternoon at 2 pm as part of Military Appreciation Day before traveling to Lyndonville, Vt. on Saturday to close out the series.
After sweeping North Atlantic Conference rival Husson and pushing its winning streak to 16 games over the weekend, Castleton baseball’s Nick Swim and Dillon Benham were named NAC Player and Rookie of the Week, respectively.
The Spartans needed 12 innings to earn a 3-2 victory in the first game of the day and then shutout Husson 2-0 in the final game of the doubleheader to earn a sweep and stretch their win streak to a program-record 16 games on Sunday.
